Tequila is a very easy going and gentle girl. She goes along with other dogs, puppies, kids and people and is a very loving girl.

We are very happy to announce this exciting combination, of two very good looking, healthy and good tempered dogs. The combination will include some of the top winning Ridgebacks in Sweden and Norway for many generations back. A really impressive pedigree!


Tequila herself is from our successful L-litter, both Tequila and her brothers have had a great career in the show ring so far, at only 2 1/5 years old they are all double champions, they have CACIB – winner titles - multi BOB wins and BISS/RUBISS placements. The L-litters mother; N Ch NordJV-06 N SE VCH Shavano’s I am Jambo has not been showed much, but she easily gained her champion title, as well as her litter siblings that where showed from the I-litter. She also is the first Ridgeback owned and bred in Norway to become Norwegian and Swedish tracking champion. The L-litters grand mum is our kennels big pride and joy, we are so proud of our Leah(Multi ch Multi winner Shavano’s Ghanima Leah) that has given us some fantastic years in the show-ring and we love her so much for always being a rock steady, happy girl that “gives” from herself and makes her a joy to be around. Not to forget the foundation bitch for these lovely Shavano dogs; Top winning RR in Norway, Norwegian and Swedish champion Nordic winner 2002 Dumèla Ma Evita of Shavano, “Zuri”, who we imported to Norway in 2000.

The L-litters dad; Multi Ch Multi winner Kangelani’s Gentle Thanzi By Clay has been a favorite of mine since the first time I saw him at only 9 months, actually I phoned his owner Marit right after and asked if he could move to me for at least a while, but off course she wouldn’t let this jewel out of her hands, so I had to “settle” with a mating from him;o) Thanzi’s sire is the famous “Clay” Globe’s Roving Red Regent, he is also the grandfather of our D-litter and from the litters Clay sired here in Norway/Sweden and the children/grandchildren I have been able to follow from several combinations, I knew there was some really good qualities to come from him, so I am very pleased to see the result of our very nice L-gang:o)
When choosing a male for Tequila's litter, I have been looking for a male from well know lines, that I will know as much as possible about, from the pedigree. I was not looking for semen from abroad, but wanted some well-known blood lines and a natural mating. One of the qualities the 3 generations Shavano’s up to the L-litter has been built on, is the fact that we have chosen Norwegian males from blood lines we know “in and out” and we now have a very well-known base to bring on the Shavano name. Zantos is both well-known lines and some new and this should fit us perfect. His sire is the Australian import to Sweden; Multi Ch Multi winner Elangeni BraveheartRules “Eros”, a male that has proven his qualities in the ring and as a stud dog the last years, with some very nice wins in the ring and bringing some very nice offspring from a few selected matings. Zantos mother is the very famous and stunning Multi Ch Multi winner Rex Ventors Helinn, who together with her siblings has some amazing wins, her sister Hazel lives in Norway and we have been able to follow this girl more closely, she is a lovely girl who reminds us much about our own Leah. Helinn’s grandmother is the famous import Multi ch Multi winner Bearstar Diamond Willow “Demi”, who have proven herself to be a great brood bitch for the successful Rex Ventor kennel in Sweden.
So all this makes a very astonishing pedigree for this litter and we are really looking forward to see the result of this mating.
Zantos himself has indeed inherited some of his ancestors’ good qualities and I have been keeping an eye on him for a while and also seen him “live” at some of my trips to Sweden this year. He has a very gentle and kind appearance and his mentality test shows that he is indeed a mentally stabile male that will fit Tequila perfect. Besides this he has a strong topline and a long and strong croup and some amazing movements that impress us. This together with Tequila’s eye-catching charm, very feminine look and showy outline, we believe may produce some lovely offspring, that will bring lots of happy years with their families as devoted family members.
